I know what I am talking about also I also have a shit ton of PG amps and I know people that play their shit loud for hours when they are camping or at a bush party. Not everyone that has killer systems are all adults I have installed $5000 systems for many 16 year olds. I told him the option and why you would have a reason to need one. Personally I have used them in the past for that reason alone.kg1961 wrote:corey your car makes me sick. my wife was mad the last time you burped you set up with the new subs. this guy know what he is talking about and his gear is pg(amps) not ms or le and it kick f---- assStryker wrote:I listen to my system at regular type volumes for for my three breaks(1hr total) at work and have never ever had any problem or worry that my car would not start. it always does and i'm running alot of power. Isolators are old school and totally unnecessary. Now if you are playing your system at loud volumes for hours on end without your car running then ya ok but who parks and listens like that except if your in high schoolgridracer wrote:One big reason I would use a relay isolator is with one installed you will always have power to start your car if the rear battery dies playing your stereo the car will still start off the battery up front. If you never plan to play your stuff with the car not running then don't use one.![]()
Extra batterys are wired in parallel to provide reserve amperage and reduce voltage fluctuation.

Hopefully someday you will get to hear one of the systems in one of my trucks next summer when they are both done, the Canyon might be done soon and I go to Edmonton once a month maybe you'll be in town at work some day I am there and can stop by.

A battery isolator is only needed if you are planing on playing your system for lengths of time with your vehicle not running so you will always be able to start it up! But it is not needed if you are not doing so. I've been the tunes for many bush parties in the past and it's sooo worth the money to get an isolator if you happen to be the "mobile DJ". It does put a damper on your party if your car is stuck in the middle of buttfuck nowhere with no one to jump start ya! So I agree with everyone. So use an isolator if it applys to your application...
