i have a xs2200 powering rsd 6's in the girlfriends car.

a couple days ago the volume went down. "25" used to be normal listening volume, and now must be turned up to 32 to reach a normal listening level. (it only goes to 35, so that actually represents a fairly large jump.

the sound still sounds as clean as it did before. there is no distortion or popping. just quieter

the amps gain was already pegged at 0, so there is no way it was accidentally adjusted down

the amp is a few years only at this point. would caps starting to go cause this?

lower power input? Sure it is the amp or the deck? Maybe try a headphone to rca cable on your mp3 player and see if it has normal output.
what else can I say I am a grumpy asshole most of the time.
