Possiblity to replace the cap

Post by rednike »

Hi All:

I am new to the forum and an old school PG fan, my first PG was outlaw back in 1995...

Anyway, since recently I start get back into this hobby of my, I purchased quit a few amps outlaw, bandit, reactor, roadster 66, Octane...

I understand times goes by and the cap will need to replaced to make sure the amps work right, the problem is I spend most of the time in Asia and I dont trust the people here to get their hands on my babies so wondering if its difficult to replce the cap by my self? what tool would I need?? is there any info over the internet teach you how to do it??

Sure I can send the amps back to US for replace the cap but the shipping cost is.....you know!! :D

Woo...thanks!! That was very clear and easy to understand, now have confidence to do it on my own (maybe instead of outlaw, I should use 1 of my bandit for trial)....
