I love, love, love my IDQ's . I have a 2250ta bridged to a pair and I hear EVERY note with a seamless transition to my Hybrid L6's. If you are looking for a sub biased towards sound quality, I highly recommend them.
Alpine 9887, Rockford 360.2, ZX450's V2, 1 ZX350 V1, Legatia L1's, L3SE's, and, L6's, 2 ea. IDQ10D4V3

(Storage) 3 ea. MS2250TA's, 2 ea. MS250 (in parts)

im sure it this is a new list than it would be new or newer gear
also if you can buy a rsdc for 120 each it under the price range

i would have thought if the new ti subs are good they should be on that list
to me it just looks pg starting intro on the new pg item but nother after that
what going on with the marketing or promotion of pg new gear are they any good vs other out there?
rember the rsdc are not made anymore :(

the suggested retail of the rsdc's was high enough...although i didnt realize it was a brand new article. the ti's should be in there! 8)

I've heard the rsdc subs and although they are nice subs they in no way compare to the IDQv3 subs. They are a great budget subwoofer and outperform most entry level subs but they just dont comapre to the SQ of the IDQv3 subs. I have a close friend who is running a set of RSDC 10s with a TI600 and he was blown away by mine and currently is savinng for a set of IDQs.i'm not saying they are the best... just saying that they are worth every dime.

Depends on what you are looking for really. I've graphed it up in bassbox, and the RSDCs appear to be biased for much lower bass than the IDQ. I have mine crossed over at 50Hz. Certainly if you are running 70Hz or higher, the IDQ looks like it would perform better in this range.

I'm certainly curious since I have run an IDMax and ID in the past, but never an IDQ. I tried to like them but they didn't come anywhere near even my vanilla RSDs (which were outshined by the RSDCs).

I've run the IDmax as well and the IDQ has better SQ IMO. It's surprising that the RSDC outshined the IDmax though. One thing I really liked about the RSDCs is their ability to seemlessly play overlapping bass notes. I will not deny that it is a surprisingly great woofer.

This is pretty much the main reason I love the RSDC. Instead of messing up several bass notes into a wash of boominess, you can distinctly hear each note at the same time. That was always a big issue with previous woofers for me, considering my "out there" musical tastes. While the IDMax was incredible on rap, dubstep and other slow bass music, when listening to death metal it basically just added nothing but a boomy wash of noise. It couldn't play a double kick drum and bass guitar at the same time, without being muddy.

Blending is the second best thing about the RSDC. They are seamless with the front stage, almost to the point where I get pissed off because I feel like there is no subwoofer at all. This is the reason I usually run a 12 instead of my 10, because I still have a bit of car audio boomer left in me. The 10 blends TOO well, and is perfectly balanced with the front stage -- if I were competing in SQ I would run it for sure.

I also like subwoofers which aren't overly tight either. Some woofers like my older Xmaxes just had way too much artificial punch to them, which made the subwoofer extremely apparent. The RSDC has the right blend of tightness and smoothness for me, so that instruments sound like the actual instruments that are being reproduced. I want drums to sound like drums and a bass guitar to sound like a guitar.

Now on the other hand I do not feel like the RSDC is a good sub to play way louder than your front stage. It sounds the best to me when run with at most 6-10dB of extra volume, otherwise its smoothness and blending abilities become moot. The instruments no longer sound like instruments. If you want a very artificially heavy bassline like this, I prefer woofers which have a lot more attack and tightness than the RSDC. Good candidates in this department for me would be the Xmax subs, DDAudio or similarly tuned "street bass" woofers.

Another interesting comparo:
http://phoenixphorum.com/12-subwoofer-t ... -vt16.html

Given a big enough box, the regular RSDs are insalely good at SQ. Unfortunately I value trunk space too much to run a single sub in nearly 2cuft sealed. This is why I went to the RSDC, which sounds nearly as good and a bit louder in half the space.

Keep in mind that it appears that they were asking shop owners and installers, so you know they were picking from products that THEY sell.

I hate JL, but a lot of their subs have gotten a lot of great reviews for their quality, SQ, output.... and only one of theirs made the list and 2 RF's, now come on!!! That right there isn't right.

For me, I'll still stick w/what I'm running because the reason I got them was due to their SQ, output, looks, price........ TREO SSi's
"ZPA's will have the same sound essentially as you get from the MS, they just feature a bigger shinier set of balls."

We have two lines that fall in that bracket, neither tested. Both would tap dance on the majority of those listed.

I just built this enclosure for my IDQv3 subs. .75 after displacement per side. 3/4" MDF all around with a 1.5" top. The inside is heavily braced and coated with 1/4"of epoxy resin to not only seal it but make the enclosure super stiff. I did a listening test last night powering them with my Genesis Dual mono Extreme and all I can say is WOW. Very smooth, acurrate bass. Fast and precise is all I can say. I installed 5-way binding posts in the rear to have a nice solid connection of my 8ga Stinger sub wire. <--- I know it's overkill but that's how I roll. Can't wait to get everything installed so I can put my friggin back seat back in my Silverado. anyhow, just thought I would share.
