My electrician buddy told me to get some copper plumbing pipe and make my own lugs cost 10 cents each to make. This sounds cheesy to me but would it work?

ttocs, try to find the link where joerg sold some of the same (or similar) ring terminals like i bought from you for $12. He has some good pics that might be adequate for explaining to smokey and the bandit?

I love these ring terminals. I have a pg compression ring terminal, streetwires ring terminals and stinger pro ring terminals. The PG are the best looking IMO.

found it...

those are actually the same lugs that I bought from joerg

I was actually looking at a scrap piece of 0 awg ground and my last fitting that I have that I decided to use as an extra ground for the alt only.

ttocs I appreciate your input and I did really like the pics I looked at about this lug. It def is jewelry. I figured that the system is only as strong as it's weakest link. then I thought the charge wire should be as good as possible but still only as strong as weakest link so I need two of those 12$ connectors to get current flow to battery. I did order two stinger pro connections for 6$ each for the charge wire while the rest will be cheesy stinger 1/0 ring terminals. The pg ring term is a beaut but I would want 2.
