we can do a little math to get a good guess. (i used its non cea rated power)rh_916 wrote:If i run an 250.2 at 2 ohms stereo would it be sucking more power then an 300.4 or 500.4 running at 4 ohms.
using I = Sqrt (P / R)
250.2 = sqrt (125/2) (x 2 for each channel) = about 16amps
300.4 = sqrt (75/4) (x4 for each channel) = about 17.3amps
500.4 = sqrt (125/4) (x4 for each channel) = about 22.5amps
of course voltage from your battery will come into play, and the amps efficiency. but it will give you a guess on how far apart they will be

Amp efficiency will be 50-60% so it makes a substantial difference in the current draw (basically double the numbers you quoted)Bfowler wrote:we can do a little math to get a good guess.
