One of my other co-workers has an FJ. Its pretty pissed off...he had all the parts ready before the rig even showed up....and he broke it in right on Golden Crack. I think it had maybe 600 miles on it at this point....

I also had the original, my first vehicle was a 1977 Toyota Landcruiser FJ40. I still wish I never got rid of that vehicle.
As for the new FJ, the GF bought it for sticker price, not a dime more. It all depends on the dealer. If they have any morales they will sell it for sticker, if not well....
. She was on the waiting list for about 2 months, and they still did her right.
Her's is pretty damn capable right out of the box. It came with all factory options except a roof rack. She has a factory rear locker, a center diff locker, damn good clearence, it's just a damn fine rig. A few months down the road we have plans for a lift, bigger tires, intake, exhaust, new bumpers, possibly a winch, you know, just the stuff to top it off.
If you have never owned a Toyota I'm sure you would be very pleasently surprised!!

Those pics are all from Moab, Utah. 8-10 hour drive from here depending on how fast your tow rig can go.
Its unreal the rock formations and scenery down there. Otherworldly. The 2 XJ guys and a couple others went together and bought a shop/garage down there and had living quarters built in it...so there is a place to store and work on the rigs and stay. Pretty sweet setup. If I get into it, I would consider something like that.

Very Tru..lol

Well the jury is in.....I WILL be keeping the GTI! I cant part with it. Spent the last 2 days detailing it even. But I will be getting a new rig. As long as it passes the test drive (making sure my 6'4" 250# ass can fit in it....which I am assured it will), it will be a 2008 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited X 4X4 6-speed with the hard top and the tow package as the only options. I think it will be Stone White, but I might go to Flame Red or Detonator Yellow on a whim. In the off chance it just isnt comfortable for me, I will try out the FJ for sure. Yahoo!!!!
