plug for ms fan board

Post by marko »

need 2 for some external fans, does anyone know what type of plug it is? i don't want to cut my existing plugs off if at all possible and having spares would be great! i'm sure i could pick them up for pennies but just don't know where to start looking.

I'm sure something will crop up before then but thanks for the offer! it's just I'm running around with no fan cooling and want to sort it asap, i'm only doing short journeys but better safe than sorry!

pics? Do they look like the two pin connector for a bass cube LED? If so, I have a shed full of them. LMK.

I have a bunch of the "wire" end, but the ones I have are not keyed for polarization. I believe that they will still work, I have used them for fan connections in several amps.

If you want some, LMK, the contacts for the connector require a very specialized crimper, but you can carefully crimp it with tiny pliers and then solder the wire instead. These are by far the biggest PITA on the bass cube remotes! Of course I never bought the $800 crimper, it probably makes life easier :D

BTW, I am pretty sure I could find the keyed type if you really want them. Say the word and I will try to dig it up in the catalogs in my free time.

I thought they only had enough power for one small fan, not sure what could happen if you were to overpower that circuit.
what else can I say I am a grumpy asshole most of the time.
