havent experienced that sub ported myself, but i do know that the majority of those in the know around here are saying that the rsdc subs are at their best in sealed enclosures. Im thinking that with 1000rms, you have more than enough power (with head room) to give that sub all it wants in a sealed enclosure. If yer married to the idea of goin ported though, im sure someone here can tell you want you need to know :)
what if the hokey pokey really is what it's all about?

I really dislike my three ported RSDc's. I strongly suggest you not port them. I didn't realize it at the time, but when I modeled again a few months ago, I realized that the drivers parameters make then MUCH more suited for a sealed enclosure then ported. Hopefully I will have time this summer to re-do my install. Three RSDc's sealed this time!

I have just heard too many times where people are not happy with the ported box, and then what can you do? I am more a fan of building a sealed box and if you still feel it is lacking somewhere/somehow then throw a bass cube on it and you can adjust it as you want to, or turn it off too. You can't turn off a port, or adjust it at all really
what else can I say I am a grumpy asshole most of the time.
