To understand the label don't think "gain". Think "sensitivity".
SOLD: '91 PG 4Runner
Re: Drew's OEM Rte 66 Restore
I just want to say that it looks great man. I could not care less about that little of a detail as I have never looked at the writting around the gain other then where to stick the screw driver..
what else can I say I am a grumpy asshole most of the time.

if that made sense...?![]()

if perhaps you guys notice... take example the gain icons... i did the outer ring darker than the inner ring just like OEM... and went to bold on the text- which matched a lil better... brought the whole top part down to the line closer... etc etc etc etc

Re: Drew's OEM Rte 66 Restore
those are some pretty ugly fingers arent they!??!?!
the minus signs seem a lil short to me now.
like i said you could prolly keep going all day long with finding differences and stuff... but for most part i think were spot on.
drew go head rubber stamp it for us... and i will get it on!

Man I can't believe how good that transfer material looks, considering how much easier and cheaper it is than silk screening!

Re: Drew's OEM Rte 66 Restore- IN FINAL STAGES
hey thanks guys! but yeah i mean pics dont do it 100% justice... looks great thru pics- but in person it is so crisp and clear - better than new - i mean i guess its new, and cant really get much better than that... but yeah for the cost and time involed - hands down its a winner against SS'ing or anything else- PLUS whats more is that the artwork (remember) will be clear coated over it- so even with traditional means of SS'ing- the artwork is exposed to outside elements... whereas this process it is not- it's protected by the clear coat- so all around it is the better choice IYAM

Re: Drew's OEM Rte 66 Restore- IN FINAL STAGES
hey thanks guys! i really appreciate it... just wish i have two more of me and it was not winter... heating the shop has proven to be a major expense and actually the weather kinda dictates when i can work or not due to the lack of insulation in the building which i am working on (but i digress)
just as a heads up kinda deal as far as putting these artwork transfers on... i may have come up with a different process, that may net even better results or something- not sure yet...... but in short it involves laying down a everything as i have been... but once artwork is on... instead of clear coating it with powder... i am contemplating about using a ceramic clear coat which is air dry versus running it back through the oven with the artwork on it... i think it will net better results as the artwork wont have to go through the oven cure schedule and potentially get compromised as it did a lil with drews cover once i cleared and cure it....
not bad in a bad way- but thinking that air dry clear ceramic clear coat would be fab as it is 10X more durable and doesnt have to go thru the oven cure schedule...
ill keep guys posted.
