Best shipping to the Netherlands

Post by 1moreamp »

anybody here have experience shipping to The Netherlands ???

I just finished repairing the MS-2250 tenth that Nico Boom bought from MW3 and We are looking for cost effective ways to get the amp shipped to him without any of us going to prison over it    and Nico not paying a zillion dollars in import tax.
Oh it must be track-able and he must sign to receive the amp in person. Or I will not ship the amp. I want Nico to get his amp and no one else.

Any thoughts would be appreciated :)

Errr I could bring it in my luggage in a month....

If you want a courier, DHL always does a good job shipping to Europe. Otherwise I just use Canada Post.

I had someone in the Netherlands send me a package via regular mail, but that doesn't help you, now does it.

Well I am trying to get this 15 pound beast into the Netherlands and the two things that bother me are the fact things go missing on their way to any country in Europe, and Customs of course for Nico's sake. he's worried about them taxing the heck out of the amp, and I don't want my client to pay for the amp twice if I can avoid it and be helpful at the same time.

I do appreciate all of your suggestions though :)

use USPS Global Express.

send it as a gift, and mark value as <$100

Absolutely 100% concur with Errin Cecil. USPS is the way to go. I have sent to Italy, UK, Phillipines, Japan, Australia, Sweden, Germany, Canada, and Spain and have had very good luck. No problems with customs or duties or any other issues.

On the other hand, OOPS and Dredex are a complete PITA for overseas. They REALLY SOCK IT TO THE RECEIVER with customs brokerage fees.

If brokerage/duty is a problem, ALWAYS use the national post instead of a courier. I would use USPS as well.

emmm funny......my first ever online purchase, from techronics was sent thru USPS Express . It was fast ,do doubt, but got stuck at customs and i had to get there , pay the taxes to receive the item.

Second time the seller ( dynamicautosound ) sent item thru UPS Express and they sent it straight to the delivery address ( home ) in exactly 6 days.... thats from US to Malaysia .

Waiting for the next one to arrive , and this time its fedex but gosh the seller ( indoaudio ) couriered it thru the " international economy " and its been like 8days and i havent received it yet.... :?

Just my experience....

I'm here again; THANKS ALL OF YOU GUYS!!
Cecil told me he'd post a topic about it.
I just learned a lesson [again] of life; you don't have to be old, to die a sudden death.
So I'm just gonna talk to Cecil now, and have this amp coming my way one way or another, and enjoy it!!
Thanks again.
p.s; if one of you need help with anything in The Netherlands; let me know.
