Just bought both of these amps.
When turning up the gains on them there's a popping noise coming from the speakers.
Could the connectors be just dirty or is it something else?

Re: Phoenix Gold XS2200 & XS2300 issues
The gain pots are known to corrode over time causing these popping noises. I just had valeks1 (member on here) repair my XS2300 and one of the problems was a bad/dirty gain pot. Just search his username and e-mail him, he is Phoenix Gold's official repair guy.

Re: Phoenix Gold XS2200 & XS2300 issues
dirty pots can often be cleaned just by swiping them back and forth a few times to clean off any corrosion that might have accumulated between the contact and the wiper.
what else can I say I am a grumpy asshole most of the time.
