99 528i - Ti5 Elite frontstage tweeter substitute?

I would probalby put the damplifier on the inside as that stuff is thick and that piece looks like it is pretty tight fitting. Maybe just spray the outside with the rubberized undercoating sprays they have out now.
what else can I say I am a grumpy asshole most of the time.

Thanks for the advice! I was actually considering that thinking the same as you about the tight fit. A layer of damplifier pro on the inside... a couple layers of rubberized undercoating on the outside and I should be good to go. I was also considering a 1/4" Birch baffle to stiffen it up a little. I am however limited by space since the foam on the enclosure literally presses against the door panel to seal. I wish the enclosure wasnt plastic or I'd coat the inside and out with a few coats of fiberglass resin... that would stiffen it up real good.ttocs wrote:I would probalby put the damplifier on the inside as that stuff is thick and that piece looks like it is pretty tight fitting. with that size speaker you will not have to worry too much about flexing, and would probably not gain much from it

Hmm. I see. I'll just use the spray and damplifier. My main objective will be to get a nice tight seal. I'm gettin excited!ttocs wrote:with that size speaker you will not have to worry too much about flexing, and would probably not gain much from it
