Good 200 watt 12 inch subs?

Post by lukeman269 »

I am looking to hook up a lower wattage system around 400 rms or so. I would like to know what subs perform well at the 200 rms range. I feel that I don't need ridiculous wattage to sound good. I am getting a Xenon 400.1 from dvnt88 soon and I have a sealed box at around 1.2 cubic ft. per chamber that I am going to put the 12's into. I am mainly looking for good sound quality and range. I have about 150 bucks to spend, so let me know if any of you guys have a pair of subs you are looking to get rid of.

As far as brand goes, I would like to get PG, but I have looked around and couldn't really find anything that fits the bill. So I am open to pretty much any brand out there. Thanks!

Look for old school stuff. they have lower wattage ratings than almost all the newer subs. maybe Xmax?

You happen to have a pair? If so, pm me with some pics and we will discuss it from there.

JL W0, RSd (not Comps), Dcon, the ID above, Elemental Designs 0v series. All I think would treat you right.

Thanks for the help guys! I am either going to get rsd's or jl audio w0v2's if I can find any. I posted an ad on the buy and sell trying to get a pair of rsd's. If you guys know anyone that has any rsd's or w0v2's, let me know.

Actually the RSDCs are plenty good on 200 watts as well. I preferred my RSDC over my RSD on 250 watts. Not to mention a much smaller box requirement as well!

I think the rsdc's are a little out of my price range though.

i'm gonna have to agree with tom. the rsdc's > rsd's on any amount of power.

rsd's are still plenty good though

The Kicker 2nd gen XPLs are awesome, kinda miss my 10" but I know who has her & I could see/hear her anytime. If you want to stay PG,, I'd recommend the XS over the XMAX for the power & better SQ.

Outside of PG, TREO's TSi 12" would be my next choice.
