Help!
So I replaced all the FETS, a cap and a voltage regulator in my ZX800.1Ti and when I put power to it, the amps tri LEDs flicker and the fans twitch, and the area where the FETS that I replaced gets real hot. Any ideas on this before I put power to it again and start looking around with a meter? I looked up the part numbers exactly for the FETS and the guy at Radioshack helped w/ the other two so I know I have the correct components. I just don't understand the flicker/twitching. The fans, LEDs worked fine before I replaced the FETs(which were all blown to shit). Any help on this is greatly appreciated.

Re: Help!
So I tried hooking it up with just a battery charger to figure out the problem and now the fans and LEDs work but I get a buzzing from the FETs. I put a source to it and when I put a sub to it the speaker hums and is sucked in. Maybe someone can direct me to a site that helps with this as I need a little feedback...

Re: Help!
stop powering the amp. When the fets go it often means the resistors feeding them get burned as well. Shouldn't take long before one of the repair experts comes on to help you better but do not put any more power on it.
what else can I say I am a grumpy asshole most of the time.

Re: Help!
What FETs did you use? You didn't buy them at Radio Shack did you?

Re: Help!
No I looked up the model number & ordered them from digi key. what I really want is a schematic for the amp, does anyone have one?

Re: Help!
Sounds like a shorted output transistor to me. Just a guess though. Could be a short in the main transformer as well.
What are you using to "put power too it", a power supply, or your car? Either way, install a 12V headlight bulb in line with the B+ lead. If the light lights up, you are drawing too much current for idle. This method will let you keep the amp powered on even with something damaged, but not risk further damage of the amp.
What does the amp do with out the REM line connected or powered on?
