Capability of the Ti 900.7????
Capability of the Ti 900.7????
Right now its powering my rSd 6.5 all around and rSd12d4.
I really want to upgrade the speakers... the tweeters are too bright for me. I'm looking at either getting image dynamics CTX65CS or piecing together some dynaudio stuff.
I'm curious if I can power a Image dynamics IDQ12 v.3 D2 or D4
thanks

Re: Capability of the Ti 900.7????
i dont think you will gain any output on the sub. i have never heard the idq but the rsdc are pretty good on low power. if you are going for pure sound quality the i would do it. as the comps i would look into the csx v2 comps they use the xs28 tweeters and they are about perfect imo. i have the xs57 comps and i crank them with a ms2250ta and they still sound great.
Re: Capability of the Ti 900.7????
I though all the 900.7s had some kind of problem that caused most to fail?
Ever thought about an eq to help attenuate the tweets? ID subs are good stuff, I was rarely disappointed with them. They are not too bad with low power but I always try to throw more then I need at them.

well my 900.7 is still rockin after 4 yrs so idk... but I kno the rsd tweets are harsh by nature.

I think Tom had one at one point, maybe he'll chime in on it.
I don't recall the 900.7's having any issues, but the T1200.1 and its tripath chip.

Re: Capability of the Ti 900.7????
yea... I'm trying to read up as much as I can on this amp even tho I had it a few years already lol
I got a pesky ground loop problem... I'll be replacing most of the speaker wiring soon anyway once it comes in.

The ti's do not have a Tripath chip, only the Tantrum 1200's have them. Once they go there is no way to fix them anymore as the company issmgreen20 wrote:I think Tom had one at one point, maybe he'll chime in on it.

no longer in business.
I'm surprised that the OP finds the RSD tweets to be bright as they are silk dome, I really like mine,I've tried the metal type and those were way too much, almost hurt to listen to.... What kind (material) is a soft tweeter???
screw car audio, I'd rather go fast....errr, wait a minute.

Ahhh, but I didn't say Ti1200, I said T1200.1

Re: Capability of the Ti 900.7????
Being that this topic is in relation to Ti amp's (specifically the Ti900.7) I assumed it was a typo.smgreen20 wrote:Ahhh, but I didn't say Ti1200, I said T1200.1

Re: Capability of the Ti 900.7????
Well I bought the IDQ 12D4 and it blows away the RSD sub I have. Amazing the differance.
Re: Capability of the Ti 900.7????
I would believe that.
