Just picked up a pair of new PG SD amplifiers, SD1300.5 and SD500.4 to replace my XS amps. I have another present on the way and will post a pic when it arrives.

I tested it on my bench before I installed it in the vehicle powering a pair of Pioneer Premier 6x9's off of the front channels and a 12" 4 ohm DCON on the sub channel and it rocked pretty good. My setup isn't the greatest for testing sound quality, so I'll have to do some more critical testing when I get everything hooked up in the vehicle. Oh, and I'll have to test the power when my 12" Xcon comes in...

Great sub choice! I had the Xcon in my hands for a brief moment, but then saw that the basket was cracked during shipping!  It sure is a heavy subwoofer, and stiff as hell too!

Wife bought me an old Clarion amp for Xmas, wont be here for a few more days. An A007-w. Looks to be in mint condition for its age. She also got me another 6 disc changer from '95.

My step dad got me the deal of the year for Xmas, an Eclipse 8121 sub, from '95 too, for the low low low low low price of $12.00

When it all arrives I will get some pics up.

This was hiding under the tree. I have been wanting to try one in the wifey's car with one amp to keep it simple. So now it's here under the tree. I guess she does listen when I try to talk car audio with her. I wonder how she found this without me knowing :?: I need her to find more good stuff

Well Ray, you seem to know I'm in Indiana, where is it your wife is heading in IN?

Like Ray here, my wife got me some Car Audio goodies. How she knew what to get? She was looking through my brochures and notes on the "wanted" list. She found me another Clarion DPH7500z and another DRX9675z for cheap, just awaiting for a reply.

She's in Lafayette and will be going to Frankfort to see family. She will be close to you on Thursday evening, would be cool to prank her somehow. Let me know if you want to try something if your off work and can get over to the mall around 5 pm.

FINALLY, the last of my Christmas gifts arrived. I already have one of each, but at the prices my wife0 got these for, we couldn't pass them up.

Clarion DRX9675z
Note: It's missing the sub out RCA. To me it is a performance factor as this unit has the outboard DSP chip set in it, so this in a sense has no sub out, I do happen to have a set of Black cables RCA's I can use to install them. I took apart the "new to me" 9675 and could see that the sub RCA out had been pulled from it's plug. Easy fix. It also did not come with the power plug, no biggie. I used the plug from my other 9675, and these plugs are on ebay for ~$6.00, which is more then we paid for the unit. As an added bonus, like the last few CD based players, there was a CD in it, Dr.Dre's Chronic.

Image

This is the back of the new one. Notice the missing Black (sub) RCA.

Image

This is the back to my other 9675, here you can see the Black (sub) RCA.

Image

The other gift is a Clarion DPH7500z.
This one had a sticker marked EVIDENCE on it. Took me 3 hours of soaking and peeling with GooGone to get it all off. The DPH7500z and the DPH910 are the same, but with different covers. My wife has my DPH910 in her car. For anal reasons, I'm going to remove it and install this DPH7500z. I want period correct matches, and the DPH910 "goes" with my HX-D10.

Here's the sticker.

Image

Here it is cleaned.

Image

Prices paid for these:
DRX9675z, $1.00 + $13.95 S&H /MSRP $650
DPH7500z, $6.00 + $11.95 S&H /MSRP $450

M-audio in-ear plugs; after a good friend of mine bought these I told him he should see a doctor and have his brain checked.
BUT after hearing them I ended up buying a pair as well....... [with a huge discount, otherwise I would not have done it].
Three-way driver, 26Db dampening from the outside noise; you're "alone with the music" when you use them [not suited when driving thru traffic or in environments when you must hear your surrounding].
Unbelievable bass that digs really deeeeep ;you forget it comes out of these tiny plugs. Also a perfect balanced bandwith and stage. A must-hear for every serious [with-too-much-money] ipod-user IMO and when you can find them cheaper than the normal price [$ 515,00 ]....
