do i really need a tld66?

in my set up i have clarion head unit vx709 dual 24bit but only 2 volt . now the amp i have are two older soundstream tr700/2 175x24ohm or 350x2 2ohm or 700x14ohm 115db .03%thd made in the usa being early 2000's do these need the extra volts?

My mids focal165kr only need 80watt rms and my sub kx40 16"dvc only needs 500x14ohm now do i really need a tld66 or would you say i don't need it?

so i was thinking i will not turn the amp up much for the fronts and im sure i will not need to go past 1/2 on the gains with
let me know what you think guys
i really would not like to use it as i have alot of gear to install but if i need it i own it so i will use it

you have already had one of those......its not going to hurt to hook it up, and see- small footprint

It´s always a good thing to keep the gains on amps as low as possible. And as said above. With a footprint like the 66 has it´s always worth the hassle installing it.

do you really need all that equipment? not really? It will probably play just fine with out it, but it certainly should not hurt. I would use it if I had it on hand, hell I am using one on both of my cars(not the 66 but a pld)

I put a tld66 in line between my alpine h701 processor and my 2 Tantrum 600.4 amps, for my 3 way active front stage only. I noticed a difference in dynamics, and all gains (sensitivity knob) were turned down from about 1/4 to minimum..

If you've got it, no harm in trying..
