The stock Aero also has more lag, but the same top end as my car, so it will be even worse at 0-60, but just as good at crusin and bruisin.

Don't get me wrong, I like Golfs, and especially the R32... but... you started it
My "scoff" is based off the fact you are sporting wood over 0 - 60 times that are based on your Speedo e.g. not entirely accurate, now if you were sporting wood over trapped time or GPS indicated speed then I might be impressed.

Bottom line your Saab must be modified to get to the level the .:R starts at. Personally I do have some respect for the nine five but in the end it just not on the same level as it’s a GM in Swedish clothing.

Anyway back on track Wink I would go for the GTI if it won’t break your bank however the rabbit is also a good choice.

It's designed and built in Trollhattan, Sweden by Saab. The 9-5 wasn't touched by GM until they started cost-cutting in 04, and then giving it the Dame Edna facelift and shitty GM interior parts in 06.

You don't think your .:R is "modified"? The only thing unique to that car is the 4motion in it, otherwise it's a tuned Golf. Just because it comes from the factory doesn't mean it's not tuned. But hey, there are also the Hirsch Saabs that also come from the factory, and they would laugh at my car.

I'm not sporting wood over anything besides your mother

Now if I had to pick between an 05 GTI and Rabbit... I would buy an 03/04 TDI and tune it . Now that I've gotten used to the torque in my Saab, I wouldn't mind seeing how much torque I can squeeze out of a diesel.
