Thanx for the welcome guys, now i really feel part of the phoenix gold family, just pick'd up my xenon 200.4,n wud like to compare power with other amps, mine does 936w rms, just wanted to know if this is about right. Also what are opinions on reliabililty issues, overheatin, etc esp when mounted under a false floor.thanx guys
The Xenon line--after the QC issue was fixed is VERY reliable.Which is a big reason of the popularity of the amp line posthumously(now discontinued). Plus the XeLoad- same wattage at any load.
The variable speed fans in the X200.4 help regulate the temp, so you shouldn't have a problem with heat. Trust me I know-- I live in Texas and my Xenon's are mounted in my trunk.
I believe (don't hold me to this but) if the 936 watts is handwritten on the birthsheet, then that is a generic number as mine is exactly the same. If it's on a graphed, printed text sheet, then those are the true numbers of your specific amp.
I hope this helps some, if not post other questions you care to know.

Quick Hint on mounting a Xenon:
I have a 200.4 and I elevated it off its mounting surface with some small blocks of wood, one under each mounting hole under the black corner pads. this allows air to get underneath the amp and therefore doubles the heatsink surface area the can dissipate heat. I have never had any overtemp issues at all ever. And by keeping the amp a little cooler it can play louder and longer without and heat induced cutbacks of power and such.
Its a safe amp that will cutback before it turns into a repair bill. I liked mine so much I bought two more.
Hint two:
It has two sets of power connections, IF your expecting to run this amp at full output run power and ground to both sets of connections. I only ran to one set and I have mine fused at 80 amps. Max power says 125 amps for the 200.4. I really don't think you will be able to stand that much power in your car. I drive a Suburban and I can't run this amp to full power without causing ear damage and blowing speakers.
Good luck and Enjoy C
