Amp Installation Items.

Post by timisu87 »

I found someone that can install my amplifier. He told me to just buy him the materials and I was not sure if I had it all covered. What brands of cable do you guys use? I drive a BMW Z3 a really small car. The battery is right in the trunk so I think the power cable should be pretty short.

So the stuff I need is the
1) High-Low, I have one that I am ordering
2)RCA cable? I am not sure what brand and how long I should buy
3)Power cable? I am not sure what brand and how long I should buy
4)Ground cable? I am not what brand and how long I should buy

I have a Tantrum 300.2 amp waiting to be installed, and I have the RSD 6.5 components coming in next week. Should be exciting. Thanks for the help guys.

power / ground cables = 4 awg you could prob get away with six feet for each and have some left over.

rca dependeds on location of high low mounting.

for your need i highly recomend

www.knukonceptz.com good on prices does not rape you on shipping, outstanding products ! I have used them for years with no trouble ever.

Welcome!

As the old dog mentioned, Knu makes good stuff for the money. You might get away with 8 awg for that amp, especially when its only a few feet (assuming that the amp is going to be mounted in the trunk)

Is there any major difference between 4 gauge and 8 gauge?

Yes strand count. My suggestion also is go bigger that way if you ever decide to upgrade you're already set.

thats an awesome kit a t an awesome price. you could even sell the exess 4 gauge if you wanted to, or hold onto it for if you ever upgrade in the future.

30 bucks for everything shipped. Seems to be a good deal. I can't wait for everything to be here to be installed.

The High-Low and the Amp Install Kit will probably be here by next week, and then the RSD 6.5's are coming next Friday hopefully.
