Installer needed/wanted

anybody within commuting distance to Portland (or looking to re-locate) and want to work in a high-end shop shoot me a PM.
I think we've established that "Ka Ka" and "Tukki Tukki" don't work.

If you want to learn on Brand new AMG's at your expense and want to commute to PDX 5-6 days a week then I'll put in a good word.

Did I mention they have a Murcielago (sp?) in the shop today. It should be in the $30-35K range for all services.

How about I drive my own car down there and use the shop to do my own install? That way you guys can get a good grasp at just how good I am and give me any pointers I might need to get better!

Seriously though I'm sure if you were closer it could be a realistic opportunity but as it stands I would say no dice. If you are really serious and are willing to relocate send me some photos of your work including behind the scenes, the wiring they do is more impressive than what the customer ever sees.

The only reason I am even posting this is the simple fact that they are in desperate need of a body since I have just vacated from a short-term stay with them and I am very likely still going to go in at nights to help out since the owner is a long term acquaintance of mine.

Awww shucks, I'm just playin around. I would love to do something like this for a living, but I think that would suck all of the fun out of my hobby. If there were any local shops that I could go start at I might take a look at it, but the car audio scene around here is absolutley dead.

Thanks for the kind words though! Good luck on filling the position!!

Straight commission. You earn your own living, if you work harder you make more and the rate is above many local shops.

A ballpark $$ for the slightly above average installer would be?????

Skills: Fiberglassing, wood working (Duh!), audio/video installs. Geared torwards SQ, but I've got my conections in the SPL world as well. Very little ?apollstry? Welder by trade at work. I weld Aluminum every day, stainless and carbon are no worries.
"ZPA's will have the same sound essentially as you get from the MS, they just feature a bigger shinier set of balls."

I have not put in a full year at this particular shop so I couldn't say for certain there, but my last year as an installer in a lesser shop was ~$43k and that was with a notable amount of down time.

A skilled/motivated installer could possibly bank 4-5K monthly at this shop.

Why is that all these "opprotunities" are walys in places I don't want to live, or too far away?

Sounds tempting, but just can't bring myself to move to the states.
