amp draw at full clip??

Post by bassman »

where can I find what a 1000.1 r series draws at full clip? I have that and the 500.4 4 channel and an m100 that I would like to run .

I am thinking this is my best bet. 1 or 2

why do you want to crank the amp into clipping ? you really won't ever need to use that rating to get the current draw at normal to high listening levels. just add up the fuses and go from that. are you blowing any fuses right now ?

the 1000.1 will see 1ohm
500.4 2 ohm at each channel
m100 1 ohm each channel or 4 if it cant take 1 but I am sure it can..

I ask at full clip as it was often listed that way in the specs if I remeber, I don't run stuff like that and have never blown a sub or amp in many years.
the last thing I fried was over 20 years ago and it was a pair of kicker 12's with alpine power, those amps were horrible!! that was the time I switched to PG 2125 and never had a problem.
