SD13.5 and Ti16.5 impedence question

Guys,
I'm about to buy one of the two above amps. The vehicle they are going into does not have room for deep front speakers - so one of the shallow mount speaker options I'm considering is Polk MM6501. They are a 2.7 ohm 6.5" component set. The rears are a set of 4ohm 6.5" coaxs. The sub will be one 10" - driven at either 2 or 4 ohms.

Question is...can either/both these amps handle the varying loads on the channels (i.e. 2.7ohm on fronts, 4ohm on rears, 2 or 4ohm on sub)?

As a side-note...anyone have a good recomendation for front comps...under 2.5" mount depth? Any feedback on the MM6501s? Other option is Bostons Pro60se...but they are twice the cost, and probably dont sound significantly better. Budget is $200-$400 for the comps.

Either of those amps will have no problem driving those speakers. The front and rear channels are stable to 2 ohms.

Both are excellent amps. The Ti has a little more power and headroom, downside is that its a big amp.

The SD1300.5 is an amazing value for its size, its actually one of our best selling amps since it everything you need in a small package.

Just go easy on the 10inch driver, either of these amps will deliver plenty of power at 2 ohms.

EDIT: One additional question...what would you estimate the Ti amp produces at 4 ohms on the sub channel? I see the website only rates it at 1 and 2 ohms????

Thanks Morgan, I appreciate your thoughts. I knew the amps were stable down to 2 ohms, I just wasnt sure they were able to have varying loads accross the channels. Thanks for the confirmation.

I will definately turn the gains down for the sub. I think I'll stick to 4 ohms on the sub, just to be safe. The vehicle is a 2-door hatchback...so its easy to make things sound good in there.

Ti1600.5 makes roughly 400w at 4 ohms for the sub channel.

I have the ti16.5 being shipped to me - and boy I can't wait!!

I plan on strappin the sub channel to a pair of the new est Alpine typeR 8" subs (most likely ported) .......... now to decide on 1, 2, 4 ohm to feed the amp.

Suggestions would be appreciated - as to the load for the amp AND any other suggestions, warnings, tips, hints, notes .... regarding THIS amp pretty much anything!!

Phoenix Gold Elite.65 comps have roughly a 62.5mm depth, and the Phoenix Gold Ti265 comps have about 60.5mm depth, which both are a hair under 2.5". The Elites are a fantastic component set and will run you something in the vicinity of $400. The Ti's are solid and in the vicinity of $200.

I have two sets of Elites and love them fwiw.
