titanium 1000.2 up to t5-12s?
Hi all i just bought two soundstream t5 12s 900 rms and wondering the best way to run them off my titanium 1000.2? bridged or off each channel the subs are dual 2ohm coils any help would be much appreciated, will be running a 1.5 farrad cap also thanks guys

Re: titanium 1000.2 up to t5-12s?
Bit of a mismatch here. One titanium per sub would be just perfect, bridged into 4ohm 1000W
You could run them stereo, its either 2x250W@4ohm (SQ) or 2x500W@1ohm (SPL). That's coils in series/parallel.
You can do bridged too, coils in series and subs in parallel for 1x1000W@2ohm.
You won't get everything out of your subs with one titanium, but you might be surprised how good and loud two twelves get with "just" 500W. Especially if the subs are suitable for large ported boxes.
I have one twelve in a 2 sq ft ported box with about 120W and it gets plenty loud.

ok i might try the 2x500@1ohm (spl) i missed out on a second ti 1000.2 wich would have come in handy! i have two zpa 3s wich are on the cards for cap replcements so there out of the question until they get sorted..i thought the subs were single coil until i bought them too little too late. thanks for help mate

a PG bass cube can also do wonders if you don't got power enough
i will really boost up the output. if it's on 200 or 2000 watt rms, if you got one, try it out !!
or just use one sub until you have a second amp.....

ok does the bass cube do the same as a line driver?? as i have one to use on my zpa's eventually! also a pg eq 215ix but dont want to go too much in the car i have at the moment..

no, a bass cube is not the same as a line driver......
If you got one, don't hesitate to use it !!!!!!!
hope you know how it works ??
If you set up a bass cube right, like on a vented enclosure right on the vent frequency.....
then it boosts up soooo much. just try it out.... if you got the owners manual of the bass cube with it,
you can read how to set it.....good luck.

Ok i dont have a bass cube...bugger!...but will a line driver make a difference at all?? if not i might just try running off 2 channels until the zpa's get a cap overhaul and maybe the mod done to run each sub but thats a little while away yet

Re: titanium 1000.2 up to t5-12s?
Bass cube is just adjustable bass boost. If you are already running the amp at 1 ohm stereo I think that might be pushing it a bit too far...
Re: titanium 1000.2 up to t5-12s?
I would consider the lpl just a bass boost allowing you to adjust only a single frequency. The base cube is a single band parametric eq which means you will be able to select an area of frequencies and then boost them. a line driver is mounted behind your deck and it boosts the rca voltage up so the signal to noise ratio is lower and the amps get a higher/hotter signal.
what else can I say I am a grumpy asshole most of the time.
Re: titanium 1000.2 up to t5-12s?
It's actually the opposite of that... it's a bass CUT which affects ALL frequencies.ttocs wrote:I would consider the lpl just a bass boost allowing you to adjust only a single frequency.

if you will run your zpa's at 4 ohms brigded you don't need to have the mod done.....
i came only up with the point of the basscube, cause i did a simular setup in the past,
a zx500V2 on two xmax 12inchV2, and with the amp alone it was of course not powerful enough.
and this was with a lpl44. when i putted the basscube in the system , then the subs started to get
playing much louder of course. with the amp i never had an issue cause of the basscube ( at 2ohms mono )
Of course i didn't play full power all day !!! just from time to time...... nowmatter what you do, don't go that
far you damage your amp or subs.....better play on safe.... about the linedriver....it will give you more dynamic
for sure, also with the zx amps. ZX or ZPA, you will have the best performance at 4ohms brigded or 2 ohms stereo.
at 1ohm stereo or 2 ohm mono, they will get much much hotter after a short time.....
make sure you have a good electrical system that can follow......
