PG Xeon 1200.1

Post by ampman37 »

Hello, I'm new to the site and would like to say hello to everyone. I repair car amps
and install A/V in cars, trucks, etc. Anyway, had a PG Xeon 1200.1 come in for repair
and ended up with it, it's in brand new condition in the original box and turned out works
fine. I have a couple of questions if someone knowledgeable about this paticular amp can
answer or anyone that knows about them. Does anyone know where I can get the inserts
on the corners where the 2 power connections are and speaker hookups are? Also I've read
the amp puts out it's rated power no matter if it's 1 ohm to 4 ohms. I have downloaded the
manual just now and have not yet read it. Are these amps good sound quality, are they reliable,
and do they put out what is told, 1200 watts and more? I hear they came with birth sheets.
I'm asking first cause I'm curious. I will run the proper tests to see how much the amp does put out
among other tests. I offer new or a birthsheet with a repair of an amp for an extra $20. I would
greatly appriciate if some could get back to me on this and espeacialy the end corner pieces. Thanks

PM Valeks1 or email him, his website is www.altser.com and is the local PG repair tech and has all kinds of stuff. Alek is a great guy and was a repair tech at PG when they were still located in Portland Oregon. I think he has a box of the rubber boots your askin about and yes ... the X1200.1 is way under rated and will do specified power from 1 - 4 ohm loads.

Contact Ron at Phoenix Gold. He hooked me up. I got a set of corners for $30 shipped to me.

Thanks guys, I really appriciate the quick response. If there's anything I can
do for you just let me know. I have been doing amp repairs for 17 years and
I am the cheapest and offer allot of services. Just letting you know just incase
you need help. I'm sure there are plenty of people on here for that. Also I have
designed 2 mono sub amps and had 100 of each made last year and 200 of each
made this year. I'm still putting them together. My house recently burnt down so
I'm not doing any business until my home insurance goes through so I get a new
house. It's taking forever. Make sure you allways read your contracts with insurance
companies. I'm all good but there was some bull crap I had to go through before
I get a new house built. Anyway, once again thank you.
