I didnt think the prices on the higher end knus were to pricey.. I think i might try the $40 dollar ones. Great prices on those..

So can the higher end cables be used in the cars, or are the ones provided in the second link sheilded better for that usage?

i think you could use either cable for either purpose... I use the Krystal Kables in my HT set up they work great.

even though i have nothing to back this on....it seems like car audio ones would have a different shielding because of their environment
my ex-girlfriend said "its car audio or me"
i've had tougher choices at a soda machine...

any proper cable would do a great job in car stereo or Home Hi-Fi/HT since cables in both these environment deals with filtering out EMI induced by power cables and cables running parallel and RFI thats airborne.

But the in-car cables would generally have some sort of external jacket to protect them , since they're running under the seat,carpet...and all...
but nowadays a lot of Home Hi-fi cables comes with these protecting jackets...

chords' odyssey speaker cables were just bare twisted pair but after some time now they've got the " silicone jacketed " version available....just an example...
