My car...and install

Post by Ahsmo »

My Car today June 20th, 2007

Brembo Brakes
Tokico D-Specs
Tein Springs
19" Volk TE37 w/ Toyo T1 Proxies
Nismo Exhaust w/ no cats
JWT Pop Charger

243.7 SAE HP 227.5 ft-lbs

Audio stuff in my sig.

As far as my install goes. The amps are where the spare tire goes in the trunk. The 10inch subs are in a fiberglass box which is color matched to the car and fits under the strut in the rear. The 5.25in a/d/s comps are in kick panels I made.

Very nice. Did you do the kicks yourself, if not what's the name of the shop assuming it's in Tyler?

I did them :P

A friend(former) did an install in the car first. Total crap job. I learned enough to know what not to do. So I went back and re-did everything short of running wires. Notice the hole in one of the trim panels running up next to the passenger side kick panel. That was the work of the first installer. The driver side trim panel came back totally broken off. Also, if you look at the plug that goes into the door, you can see the speaker wire run to the door. The guys were too lazy to do it right. Taking it out would cause too much harm

Ahsmo wrote:One day I happened to be sitting on a forum...imagine that...and found a user with a AIM screen name. Mind you, this is on a 350z board.

In trading IMs with this person, I realize this person might indeed be a female. I didn't really think to much of meeting females on the internet but hell, I'll give it a try.

I trade comments, flirt with this person behind the keyboard. Destiny( I should have known something was up when I found out what her name was, there are only two type of people who have a name like that.)

I mention the fact that I am looking to get shed of some of my stereo equipment because I was selling my car. She steps up and wants the 10s I have.

"Okay cool, I'll install them for you if you pay 80 a piece for them"

I only offered this because I figuered I would get something I wanted in return. (negative)

I make plans to install the speakers on my way home from Colorado. As that time nears, I finally ask her for a picture...

She gets flushed...oh @E$!$#@#$!#@$%!@#$%...

I send her one of mine to break the ice, maybe she is shy?

she finally sends me a pic...this is what I got:

...I need drink
Ahsmo wrote:Now what?

Do I back out of the deal and run for the hills? At this time I was still selling my car so I needed to get rid of my subs.

I naturally rationalize my decision:

"I need to get rid of these subs fast"

"I already have plans for this"

"Installing car audio is fun"

"I really dont want to be rude"

"Screw it, Im doing it"

So here we go...

Image

Amp installed...the wiring codes in this lovely lady's car were backwards. Only in an automatic, only in an automatic.......................

Image

umm, the subs are back here

Image

amp shot

I did all this crap for free, fought a battle without a wiring diagram or mulitmeter.

I suffered a deep cut to bone all for what?

I don't really have anything wrong with big girls but that girl ate more Pizza than I did. Just not right. She ended up being a nice person in the end.

That’s right and if I wanted a bitch I would have kept my EX

Bottom line gold diggers not welcome... and gold diggers look for vettes

Also vettes made = metric ass load.

R32 = less than 5K left in the USA.

Note the R32 is for a true coinsurer of fine schnitzel

The vette is well.... its bought by those that think red lobster is good seafood.
