Re: schematic for zx350 or why amber light staying on
Did the amp work fine prior to the cap replacement?

Re: schematic for zx350 or why amber light staying on
only the fan would work and no green light was coming on so took apart and seen that rail caps was swolen so thought it may be one of the resons so replaced all 4 rail caps and the other 4 caps from the recommend upgrade values from this site.
have checked all the fets and they look all good
have replaced the ribbon cable on the cross over board as well
what makes the thd light come on
our radio repair guy at work said he could figure it out with a schematic
cheers

Check the thermal sensors. I think there are 3 of them on that amp (not certain). One may be bad, and giving a false reading, I have seen this before on other ZX amps.

thanks for the hint will have a look next week
Re: schematic for zx350 or why amber light staying on
I may have a similar problem with my 350...when the amp powers up I'm getting a green light and the fan is getting power but not spinning a full 360 degrees continuous. It's intermittently spinning about 15 degrees then stopping only to repeat.
This is my first ZX, can you explain how the fan is suppose to operate when the amp gets power?
Is the fan always suppose to spin?
Any ideas?

try to check with another fan.... maybe you just have to replace the fan...do you have another zx... switch fans.....see what happens....JayGold wrote:I may have a similar problem with my 350...when the amp powers up I'm getting a green light and the fan is getting power but not spinning a full 360 degrees continuous.
