hi guy anyone just use a m44 for there set up?
im looking for one sub 10" or 12" to sound as loud as my new style 10" alpine type r in a small sealed box. i lowering the current needed in my system so my amps and sub need to change a bit
let me know old school or new school also it doesn't need to be pg but i would like it to be

I honestly don't know. I bought this sub a few years back planning to put it in my truck. It has been on the shelf ever since.kg1961 wrote:so eric are they really able to get clean and loud off only 160watts?
It has the magnet, and suspension to play well. If I had a 10in box I would try it out.
I also have 4 MB Quart 8s that might work better for you. I forgot why I bought them or where they came from, but I am a fan of 8s and these look to be pretty good ones. These look to be more efficiency oriented, then excursion oriented. Probably would be fine on the lower power of an M44.

looks like im trading my clarion sww1001 and box for a phoenix gold tantrum 12 in a box
so i think this will be a fine sub for my new route 66

If you you want to hear the ti subs mike I have two installed with a ti 800.1 pushing them. They are plenty loud. I was out a little while ago and ran into some guys with 12" type r's. even they were impressed how the 10's performed. They were hitting hard and very clean. I have been using the save subs for over ten years. I love them. You would be very happy.
