phoenix gold ti10d sub enclosure

Post by Jeroen »

Hi there,

I want to build a new box for my ti10s. I am running them each of a zpa0.3 ... if maybe anyone can tell me what is the best volume sealed and ported and if ported what is the best volume of the port?

thanks in advance...

greets from Holland

Here's the manual from the site and should help. I ran 2 TI10's at .55cuft^3 per side (sealed) and they sounded phenominal ...loud, tight and accurate off a JL 500/1v2.

phoenix gold ti10d sub enclosure

Post by Drock »

I am using four of them at 1.2 cu.ft ea, with a a divider in the middle making two chambers. So two subs per chamber. Each ha her is ported 3" x 12-3/4 long. I have no idea of the tuning it's at. It is very loud and very solid sounding. They are powered with two ti 800.1's at the moment.

First i had 2 xmax 12" woofers on 1 zpa 0.3. They broke down after 15 years. So i bought these ti's. Bought a second zpa 0.3.
I have build them in the box i had for de xmax''s... sounds great and loud as you guys mentionend, but i think it can be much better if i build the right box for them.

I love Phoenix Gold. Great stuff... but very very expensive in my country and hard to come by.

Thanks for the quick replies...

Hey bud ...these are the old-skool TI10's and the maual provided for them is correct. Sounds like you have the newest version of the TI's.

He has the newer TI10's, the ones that were replaced by the current model- TI2 10's. I know, I know it is confusing.

EDIT: The one's before these-
