Replacing the Exile 600.4
Replacing the Exile 600.4
So, I'm on the market for a replacement amp for my exile 600.4, and I'm leaning towards the r300.4. how does this amp stack up against the exile? I currently have the ti6cs installed in the doors. I plan to run the tweets off the fronts, and the mids off the rear of the amp. i would love to upgrade to the elite4 and elite 6.5s, but my wallet says no.
I have a JVC kd-a95bt headunit, and i run stinger 8000 series rca's , an elite 12 running off of an exile 1200.1...in case your wondering

Re: Replacing the Exile 600.4
Killer system you currently have.....how do you like the Elite on the Exile amp?
Re: Replacing the Exile 600.4
Sorry i ment to say the S400.4 not the r300.4. I would really like to get these ti's off of deck power, and back onto an amp
The elite off the exile....ummmm not enough power. It sound great, but you can tell i dont have enough power. Ive been pondering taking it out and adding 4 r3 10s and saving the elite12 for when i can fully have a whole elite system...and yea im talking about two elite 12s off of one elite1

Or check eBay and grab another Exile X1200.1, one for each coil.

Lets see some pics.
Re: Replacing the Exile 600.4
Of what? My half primered beat up lowered frontier, or my install? Ill post pics of both, im currently going through a stereo crisis, and redoing everything. Once i decide on exactly what im installing and have everything mounted i will.Drock wrote:Lets see some pics.
As of now its just an elite12 in a pre fab box, with the amp just laying on the floor. It looks like a flea market install.
As of right now im planning to install four r3 10d2 off the exile, with the basscube, and a remote volume knob for the bass. A s400.4 for the ti comps, and two remote volume knobs, one for the tweets and one for the mids, and ill have another remote volume knob for furture useage
Another setup would be the elite12 off the exile, the ti comps off the s400.4 a pair of r3 10s off another s400.4 for some serious midbass, pair of channels would have a remote volume knob, but the exile doesnt have enough balls for the 12.
My dream setup is elite compa off of a elite4(maybe 2 sets), ti/r3 10s off an elite2, and a pair of elite12s off of a elite1, with the volume knobs, the basscube, an audison bit1, and maybe a few line drivers if needed
If your wondering why i need volume knobs, is cause i listen to pretty muh everything, and i do mean everything, so i would like to beable to +/- tweets/mids/bass on the fly. I deliver pizza's for a living, so im in my truck atleast 30-35 hrs a week, so music is kinda part of my job too

Replacing the Exile 600.4
I was thinking of picks of the elite 12, I haven't seen many pics of installs will any of the new pg gear yet. I have a few of the elite amps. I just haven't had the time or a place to install one yet. One more week till the floor in the shop has cured enough to drive on. Ill put up lots of pics when I start. But I would love to see more elite installs.
Good luck with yours, it sounds like it will be awsome.

Good choice. I use a Ti800.4 as a replacement for my Exile X800.4, and I prefer the Ti significantly.NappyFro wrote:Ok so i decided to pick up a ti800.4 to replace the exile. That is some serious props for the Ti as I have used the Exile 800.4 and it is an awesome amplifier for sure!Eric D wrote:Good choice.
