Want to know what this is for...

Post by onecrazy95civic »

Hello,
Got four of them in my install and just notice that there is a single point connection (on the right, second picture / top right, third picture) and when I crosscheck with the instruction it showns a two point connection one for ground and one for remote. Can anyone tell me what is the single point connection there and/or use for? And is it a must to be connected.

it is the ground for the lights in the fuseblock. If you want them to turn on then yes you want to use it. If you want them to turn on either with the ignition or the deck you will need to wire up a relay to supply a switched/remote ground so that they will not be lit up all the time. OR you can turn the switch on/off each time you want to show the lights.

I was just mounting/wiring my switched ground relay in my car two days ago.

Thank you for the info I'll take your advice and use a relay.
