Small Area Installation
Small Area Installation
Any ideas on how to install subs in a '93 Ford Ranger? Normal sidestep cab, 5 speed manual. Theres hardly any room behind the seats.
Re: Small Area Installation
I did a system in a friends regular cab ranger with a single 10 and two amps but yea there isn't much room to play with unless you are cool with a blow-through.
what else can I say I am a grumpy asshole most of the time.

I did a single 10" behind the passenger seat of a 94 with the amp behind the driver. The seat was sitting pretty far up. Girlfriend didnt like it much. They are a very small cab. Your best bet for space would be a console box. If you have buckets that is.

Back in my day,if it had to be behind the seat.We would go straight to 2- 8"Bazooka and Punch 150,but from what Ive heard the bazookas aint what they used to be.

No, they are not. A friend just put a powered 10" Bazooka in his wifes 2010 Mazda6 and said if it wasnt so cheap, he would be pretty upset.

8" will not fit with out loosing more then a few clicks on the seat but a 6.5 will suprise you in there. I had a 90 ranger regular cab and 6.5s were my first sup till I moved up to an JL 8 and never really liked the 8 compaired to the 6's.

Pair of 6.5" or a single 8" bazooka tube, replace the speaker with something nice, maybe cram a small class d under the seat?
