Why no subsonic filter on 5 ch. amps?

Post by Audiophiliac »

Just trying to decide what amp to get next. I was hoping to go with something PG of course. 5 ch. would be ideal, but 4 would work. I am going to be running coustic dr-326 bass pumps which have 6" woofers. I would love the added protection of a subsonic filter but it seems that none of the PG 5 ch. amps (or 4 for that matter), have them, even though their monoblock siblings do. Why not? Might have to just get an Octane LE I guess. :)

Ti, Ti2 and Elite 5 channels all have subsonic filters. We even added variable phase on the sub section for Ti2 and Elite.

Ti600.4, Ti800.4, and new Ti21000.4 also all have subsonic filters on the rear channels.

SD, R and RX do not have subsonic on rear/sub channels due to either physical PCB space or cost.

Thanks Morgan. It is not mentioned in the features list on the site, nor in the 2013 catalog descriptions. Manuals are where I finally found it except ti2 manuals do not seem up yet. Will the app amp have a subsonic filter?
