I didn't have the heart to tell her exactly why my car could pull away from hers...I just said it was the automatic trans and the wheels

Amp Re-install

So basically, rather than keep fighting with the gremlins in my stereo.(strange noises due to ground loops)

I have re-installed the amps. Or I am in the middle of re-installing them. The main goal is to organize wiring and secure amps in some way. The next goal is not to put a hole through my gas tank and/or hands. The next goal is for it to work and look okay.

I drank(am drinking) a few beers while I did this so stay with me on this...

Well s@#$@#$@ #$@#$@#$@K#$K@#K$@#$

I figured out the problem with the crazy noises coming from my stereo. One of my RCAs is f@#ked.

So I have to take my dash apart and switch the RCAs around.

Regardless, I got the amps secured and the a/d/s cross overs secured.

Update:
I finished switching RCAs around. It all works and now there is no crappy hum or noises. I'll upload pictures shortly.

Here it is finished.

I ended up putting the A/d/s crossovers back behind 1200.1.

An update,

The reinstall has been outstanding thus far. The bad RCA has been bad from the get go. All the noise issues I was having before have gone away. With the a/d/s running full range, my system sounds better than ever.

Also, for some reason I had the tweeter set to 'high' on the a/d/s crossover. When I switched to normal, my imaging came back and all the detail came back with it.

The rear channels of my 200.4 have been un-used thus far. I had a set of speaker pods for my doors covered so I am waiting on a set of Kicker ssmb6s to come in.

I really have no reason to install the door pods other than just to gain a little more control out of my midbass. The a/d/s have no problem creating plenty of mid-bass but I really do not want to hammer on them that hard. I can replace the kickers but the a/d/s components are gone if they blow.

I had a 3 way set up once before with a set of elite 9s. Sounded like trash. I hope this doesn't disappoint.

My crossover points are going to be this:
components: 100-up
ssmb6:65-100

I am going to start there and then tune with my ears. The pods are placed such that ssmb6s will not be pointed at the floor, more or less up.

Anyone have any other ideas about crossover points?

the spare must go or look behind the driver's side seat. There is plenty of room back there.

What year?
