Can MS-250 run stable at 2 ohm bridged?

Hello,

Total newbie here. I was wondering if MS-250 could run stable at 2 ohm bridged. Manual only states 4 ohm for bridged.

MS amps can handle low ohm loads for sure but they get very hot doing it. So install a fan to cool your amp if it gets hot to touch and it won't disappoint you.

not sure if the ms250 but the ms275 had a switch on the board to be able to do that. i think it was a yello switch on the board

That switch is more like a band aid. It lowers the amps rail voltage so the amp makes less power and heat. As long as you take care of cooling and install proper wiring the amp will be good.

Another thing. If that 2 ohm is a subwoofer in a sealed box then there will most likely be no problem at all. Vented boxes draw more current from amps.

Yes, the plan is to have this amp power one 12" sub in a sealed enclosure. No plan to crank up volume to rattle the car, just to have a nice and balance system.
