Sorry, but no. If he did, I'd have one of those in layaway too.

Re: post a pic of your latest purchase
A lot of things I've bought in the least two weeks. Just last night I pulled the trigger on a Clarion CZ702 for cheap, nib.
Got a Clarion A1200 amp, SET161 tweeters, Clarion APA5241 5ch amp, SE2500 coaxs and nib LANZAR MWS6.5's, and 4 ohm LP12. Sadly my funds have ran out. Although, this Saturday a friend of mine that I sold my Clarion APA4160 to said I could HAVE it back, no charge.
I'll get some pics up soon.

Re: post a pic of your latest purchase
Here we go.
Clarion APA5241, She's rough, but SEEMS to be okay. It made my 10A power supply hum, but no blown fuse.

Clarion A1200, this is my 2nd one. I wanted a 2nd one for a setup/display I want to do later.

Clarion SET161, NIB

Clarion SE2500, NIB coax set.

LANZAR MWS6.5, NIB. These things are freakin huge!!!!

The MWS6.5's next to the Clarion SET2500's

LANZAR LP12-4, NIB. Got this beauty off of a friend of mine. $50.

Oh yea, I also had to get a new phone last week. I dropped my HTC Inspire from 45 FEET in the air. Needless to say, the knockoff otterbox didn't save it. the screen was shattered, but believe it or not, it still worked 100%, for about 5 days, then it started to act up and the screen is going out now. So I got myself an HTC one X.

Ahh..... So you are the one who scooped up those terminals, lol. I was trying to work out a deal locally for a pair and used that ad as a basis for my offer. Well i guess he didnt like my offer because he never got back to me after that. Then they disappeared off of Ebay. I am glad they went to a fellow Phorum member though. Your van must be coming along nicely.
Good scores all around.

Re: post a pic of your latest purchase
Thats the ones, some geezer from Greece, offered him £75 all in, never seen so many stamps on a package in my life they nearly covered the whole thing. Youre welcome to make me an offer if you need them. Worried about using that VB200, my amps will only be drawing 110a, not sure if I will be as protected as much as with a fuse, just like the idea of easily being able to flick it off.LowandLoud wrote:

Re: post a pic of your latest purchase
I hear you on the too cold to do much work. I have no heat or electricity in my shop so not much going on out there during the winter, lol.
This is what i am tinkering with:

I have spent the winter collecting pieces for my stereo re-do. I am about 90% there and just recently picked up a shell (or cap) so the plans have changed again. Now i will be building a new sub box in the bed so i can display all of my gear in the extra cab. I will be removing the rear window of the truck and front cap window and sealing them together with accordion gasket. Before this move i had so much stuff i had no choice but to stack/overlap pieces.
I am also in the midst of doing a custom console which houses my air gauges and valves/lines. I have just discovered a leak there so i need to fix that. Also need to upgrade the alternator. Lots to do, lol. Oh, and painting and installing a set of fender flares on my daily driver as if this werent enough.

I am normally not a fan of a paint job with such crazy colors but your truck pulls it off nicely. I too have become a fan of lowered vehicles after putting air-ride on my mustang last year. I have not done the paint yet but plans for It(a little simplier then yours) and a new 347 short block is in the plans.

Re: post a pic of your latest purchase
Thanks for the good words fellas. The minitruck world is all about standing out in a crowd. My truck definitely does that well, lol.
Alot of the mini trucks that we (my club) and i work on are torsion bar suspension as well. It isnt all that difficult to bag these. All you do is completely remove the torsion bars, and weld in the bag brackets on the side of the frame, between the control arms. Include gussets of course. Most times you need to remove the factory shock to fit the bag. Once you find a suitable place to relocate the shock to, it and the bag itself are all the suspension you need. No need to retrofit Passat (or other) parts into it. Of course, if you are not a very good welder (like me), its best to get someone who is to do this.
Just something to think about
