So I'm sitting at a set of lights waiting for the red light to change, and i started to tweak the bass a bit.i did not have the stereo up to loud but was trying to make adjustments but the bass was not changing. So I'm like wtf. So I turn the volume down and my highs turn down but not the bass. Again wtf. At this point I feel really fucking stupid because the volume was actually off now and I realized it wasn't my subs that were the problem, it was the kid that pulled up behind me. Doh:
Anyway the light changes and I go. And of course the next set of lights is red also. Only this time the kids stereo is so loud that I want to bail out of my truck. Honestly I've never heard anything like it. Everything in my truck was rattling. I can't even do that with my subs lol.
At first I was kind of pissed off, but then I thought I'm not really mad. I just wanted to check out that kids system.
And wholly fkn Christ how does that kid sit in their even if its just burps. It seriously was making me sick in my truck.

That is pretty damn funny. You know of course the only reason he was driving it that hard is because he heard yours and wanted to blow you out.

I've fantasized about having something like that, but reality is the only time you'll run it like that is to show off or at a competition. What I have now isn't overly loud compared to what can be, but last week I parked at the bottom of the Wal-Mart parking lot before going in, and decided I was going to see what my system could really do. For about twenty minutes I loaded up the heaviest bass tracks I have and kept going up while watching the subs close so as not to drive too hard. Satisfied that it was hitting plenty hard, I found a parking spot close to the store and went in and bought groceries.

I got out of the truck, and the inside of my ears was throbbing and I had flashes of dizziness like my equilibrium was off. I had to hold the buggy tight to keep from losing my balance. People in the store probably thought I was drunk or on drugs. Thankfully it went away after an hour or two, but I'm never doing that again. LOL

And again, my system isn't an over the top SPL build. It's just a loud SQ system. There are many, many that are much louder. Once you get up over 140db it's just unhealthy. Something as loud as the system Drock's talking about would turn you to jelly after prolonged exposure.

Either that or it's just too loud and I am officially old.
