Stupid Question
Stupid Question
This is probably a stupid question. On an Elite4 amp, is there any reason why I couldn't or shouldn't run the front channels at 2 ohm and the real channels at 4 ohm? Common sense tells me it should work, but I'm not sure if having a heavier load on one side would cause an issue. I don't think it would, but.....
Being loud without good sound quality is pointless, but having good sound quality without being loud is also pointless.
Re: Stupid Question
I have done it on other amps for a long time and never had a problem but I am sure someone will tell me if I am wrong.
what else can I say I am a grumpy asshole most of the time.
Re: Stupid Question
Agree with Scott. I'm running my elite.4 2ohm fronts and 4 ohm rears. No problems at all.
Re: Stupid Question
Cool, thanks. I'm looking at adding a second set of Elite65's to the front stage, and don't want to add anything to the rear. Dropping the front to 2 ohms would be the best way to do that I figure since I don't have room for more amps. My other option was go with three sets up front and run a set parallel off the rear, but that would break the fader. When your kid is in the back watching Barney, dialing the fader to the rear can literally save your sanity. Lol

I think I have every episode of tooppy and binoo burned into my head. Lol

thankfully my dog doesn't car what is on the stereo as long as the windows are down and her head is out.
