ZX/ti air flow

Post by joyride »

I am planning on mounting a flush trim plate over my amps to give it a clean look. I am worried that the exhaust vents will pose a problem. The intake vent will be getting cool fresh air. The exhaust will be going into a 1.5" area that will have some, but not much, breathability. The attached images show what I plan on doing. Will this exhaust area pose a problem?

The outer area will be covered

Are you running your amps At 2 Ohms or Bridged Loads? That make a huge difference in terms of heat. One my M25 is bridge (4 Ohms), the other M25 is just running 4 Ohms Stereo. After a hour of playing music, one get warm, the bridged one gets hot it almost burns my hand. The ZX0 & TI amps I have had have alway runs cool now matter what I load I have used, but I also have had them well vented.
