Mount MS275 upside down? + CT matching MS monoblocks!!!

Post by Pillow »

Idiot question, but I am a bit stuck on a deck build.

Plenty of airspace and will not run hard. Just pushing a component set and that is all. Will it die? Run hot? IDK.

I want to pair this MS275 with a Audio Technix 400.1 (CT Sounds 500.1D)... Tell me they do not go togehter like waffles and cocaine! http://www.ct-sounds.com/5001.html white with plexi = nice!!!

Might require a fan, but the pg will be many times sexier than the ct amp.

It will be fine unless the weather (and car interior) gets very hot. I have an M50 running components and its installed under a false floor in the trunk. Theres no air circulation around the amp. Most of the year the weather is not hot here in Finland. In the summer on a hot day if I play the stereo at full volume for an hour the amp gets so hot its a bit uncomfortable to touch but it has never thermaled. I know this is amp abuse but in my case it very rarely happens.

I have an MS275 running a 4ohm sub bridged and its installed under the false floor as well. I installed a cooling fan on this because I know it will heat up more than the M50.

Ms amps have much bigger cooling metal
All m amp run hot had some ms amp run cooler you will be fine its not like you are running 2 ohm bridged

I love that tough, under rated, sweet sounding MS275.

Excellent! Thanks guys!

... The other option would be to go Xenon with the built in fans. But the MS needs to play, it has been in storage much too long. And they sound excellent as well ;)

And yes, def needs caps before install.

I'll post up pics once I get rolling on this install.
