Elite LED lighting
Re: Elite LED lighting
you mean the decals? Which one you want?
what else can I say I am a grumpy asshole most of the time.
Re: Elite LED lighting
Need vector files so I can load them to a cnc. I think if I use a bit thicker plexi I might be able to edge light the plexi. If I can make it work I can color the glass so the design pops more like neon. If it work I'll put together a few kits that will be easy to install.

Re: Elite LED lighting
you seriously overthinking it all you need is to frost the inside and it will light up SUPER bright. Take a piece of scotch tape that has a satin finish to it and put it in side and turn it on and take a pic of it.

Actually it very easy. And looks very sharp. I'm not a fan of frosted glass.ttocs wrote:you seriously overthinking it all you need is to frost the inside and it will light up SUPER bright. I helped design and build edge lit signs for many years. Our company did most of the Budweiser, Kokanee, signs you used to see in the bars. Also did the signs for Wendy's. I already have the extrusion and LEDs made up. Just need the graphics and I can get it done.

Re: Elite LED lighting
An edge lit glass with cnc carving would look the absolute best. The glass on my previous sub enclosure was edge lit with frosting, and it looked damn good. But, I'm not convinced there is enough room there to get a thicker piece of plexi in the amp, and even if you could I know there isn't enough room in the glass' track to mount an LED strip unless it is the size of something like 16 gauge wire or smaller.
Being loud without good sound quality is pointless, but having good sound quality without being loud is also pointless.
Re: Elite LED lighting
I can do it if I chamfer the edge. And acetylene will turn the cut edges perfectly clear so the light will still flow through the glass.

Re: Elite LED lighting
I just sand it down as far as I can and then wick a torch past it to polish them although polishing plexi/acrylic is really easy to do anyway.
