Sorry. Can't help you much there. I never have been much for vehicle dampening. None of my vehicles (trucks and hatchbacks) have particularly needed it.

I bought some new tools and mdf boards or i got the mdf boards for free at my local wood shop i got 4 small plates, the jig saw have lazer light so i dont screw it up.
I also got a new bit for my router they did not have carbide bits so i bought a bosch hard metal, what kind of blade do i use on the mdf i got 5 different types from fine small teeths to big large teeth?.
The mdf board is 12mm or 0 15/32in thick, its for the false trunk floor.

fine teeth will go slower but have a cleaner cut. The fewer teath can rip through it fast but can leave a messy edge if you go too fast.
what else can I say I am a grumpy asshole most of the time.

That would make sense thanks for the help :)
When i make the false floor i have to cut it in atleast two pieces to get it in the trunk, but when i use the old trunk mat to line up the mdf board how do i calculate in what the jig saw cuts out of the board does this matter i want it to fit perfect in the trunk.
I think im in over my head with this install but im gonna take good time doing it.

not sure exactly what you mean there. Easiest way to make a false floor is to make a template out of cardboard and then transfer it to wood to cut it out.

I was thinking on using the carpet in the trunk as template but its a bit warped so i may have to make a template of cardboard.
I will start on the dampening mats today i hope i get it finished.

sound damping, and sound damp-en-ing are two different things. Sound damping will reduce noise but dampENing it do nothing but get it wet.

Hi, im starting to get the box in place now, i found out that i got 6X9" speaker hole in the rear parcel shelf and im thinking about putting bass reflex pipes so i get the sound in through the cabin.
Im not putting the amplifiers under the floor im going to build a box that im putting on the floor with the amplifiers mounted in an angle, im going to lay carpet on and have plexi windows and fans blowing air in and out of the box.
