Thank you for the link i think it will be expensive to ship it to Norway so i will look here first, you are Lucky in the US you got soo many stores with big selection and good prices i think that item would cost 3-4 times more in Norway.

The ZPA cant have been used much its no dirt inside but there is some small rust on the middle heat Shield, the ouside had something sticky on it but it is no rust or paint gone.
The caps are HFZ 61FL i tryed with paper but i do not get any wet on it but i has to be leaking, i almost dont want to remove them to keep it 100% original but i know the leaking can damage the Board.
On one off the heatshields there is a screw missing but it looks like it never been a screw in the hole the paint is spotless and all the other holes has scuffs after the screws.

More Pictures off inside, i have not cleaned it yet i spilled out my isopropanol and i only got ethanol home can i use clean ethanol to clean the board?

Wow that board is super clean. Change those caps for sure. That series leaks, and chances are you will find leaks once you remove the caps.

For the power terminals you'll want to use Kapton tape to replace the broken "gold" tape. The purpose is to keep wire strands or the entire wire from goi through into the amp. The v2 had a solid block rather than using that tape...not sure what they were thinking there. If you can find a good machine shop they can probably make you a solid block, but they'd have to drill and tap for the screw hold and for the set screw, plus drill for the wire. It might not cost too much but I found that the Kapton tape works well too.

Oh, and that switch at the end of the blue wire can be eliminated by shorting it out. I just tape a piece of wire and connect the two terminals that the wires run to. It purpose was that if you remove the plexi then the amp shuts off. It's kind of pointless unless you want to keep the amp all original (I think almost everyone that works on these amps eliminates that).

Damn im glad i pulled the off under one off the caps there was small pieces off wire stuck between + & -, they all were leaking from the - on the caps not one off the + were leaking.
Dont even want to think on what would happen if someone had hooked it up without removing the caps.

Panasonic makes a series of caps that look very much like the originals but they have much more capacitance. It's is the Panasonic FC series 8200uf, 16v.

I got some nichicon 5600uf/16v but they are black with silver stripe it would be much better with the right colour but it depends on what it would cost to get them shipped to Norway, i just orderd from digikey together with another Norweigan member so i just orderd.
But i will see what i do i got alot of time to finish this one, the cicuit board is a piece of art on these amps.

My reason for doing it is that i pay over 40% off my pay check in tax and we got MVA 25% on everything we buy both across the border and inside the country on top off the VAT they have surcharges on many items, its the goverment greedy way in this country making me want to cheat the system at every turn.
We got soo much oil but still we pay 2$ per liter 70% off the price goes to goverment, on top off the fuel price we got tollboth charging me 2$ every time i drive outside my town and they have 5 off them charging both ways on a 31miles stretch of road.
I should not complain about it we got high hourly wage and we are one off the best countrys to live in.

We do not pay customs when item is under 50$ but the shipping price is included in the 50$, i love when it comes at the door without the extra paying to get it out.

FYI TLA's are only really useful when the TPC to you are talking too knows what they mean or they will be WTF?! Make sense?

No need to spend on audio grade caps for the power supply caps. I upgraded the signal caps on one of my zpa0.3 to ELNA caps but I am yet to test it out.

Hi ,the caps are 2-4$ each but with shipping and custom fee etc it all depends on how many and where you order them from.
I got help from trickyricky because i already bought some amps from him he was kind and helped me out, the other order i have made on caps i bought together with another member and he did all the work so im not sure.

You can change the uf but not the voltage, i got some how many do you need? i got 5600uf/16V

You can go to 25v to be extra safe but the original caps leaked not due to voltage rating but due to a "factory defect". You will not find a 8200uf 25v capacitor that measures 16-18mm diameter and 32mm height/length. It will be around 4700uf or 5600uf but not 8200uf.

I've seen some amps that even use 50v on the B+ filter side, only reason was to make assembly go much faster by using the same caps that are used in the rail filtering on the B+.

Well the post Office had alot for me today, here is some of it but i also got a 600titanium and zx600ti they are in my storage room and i will get them later i got enough removing the cap feet on the zpa.
I also got the Audio Control DQX with the ddc remote the other day, the dqx need a new chip but its on the way from Audio Control a guy name Dan helped me and he made my day since i got the chip for free and its getting shipped today.
Now im only waiting on two xsc5 capacitor then i just has to figure out where i can fit all these goodies.
