I would do the xs6600
I think its a better made amp
It also hase a heavier heat shink
I had the saphire back in the day worked good just not very strong imo

Not as strong, but higher quality components used throughout the sapphire. If I had to choose it would be a XS for it's power.

the sapphire is a perty blue

Yeah, the XS will make some more power, but the Sapphire just might be better SQ-wise. It is triple darlington unlike the XS, so if you are a PG nut...
White sapphires have a MS thing going on look-wise.

Yep...Mr.Wild is right, the Sapphire is more SQ than raw power, same design as all the other old school great PG amps (triple darlington). Don't forget that shiny 24k plated board....me love to just stare at.

Take a look at the crossover too. I'm not sure what the XS has, but with the Sapphire you're fixed at 90Hz and it's summed from the front inputs. So unless you have a BassCube, there's no real easy way to adjust the bass on the fly.
The XS is a 6ch that has 6chs of input, the Sapphire is a 5ch that has 4chs of input.

"ZPA's will have the same sound essentially as you get from the MS, they just feature a bigger shinier set of balls."

Re: Xs6600 vs Sapphire 1.5x
Got a bass cube, and yes I did note the 4 in, 5 out outputs. I still like the sapphire better. And I never got the XS6600 .. but I felt like asking.
Besides.. all the new PG stuff isn't as pretty as the old stuff.. just a personal statement.
And yes, the inside of that Sapphire is pretty - again.. not that we see it once installed lol. The seller had never opened one up before he sold it to me, I made him open it up. He was pleasantly surprised at the guts of a Sapphire 1.5x!

Ya.. Got the blue... And I think it looks better than the white. White shows every flaw.
