Zpa 0.5

just about to purchase a ZPA 0.5 v.2. Can I ask for peoples response on reliabilty problems. What to look for etc. I know the mark 1's went faulty quite abit. How do the users of the 0.5's go. I will be running it off a PLD1 to EQ215x and then stereo. 4 ohms...

Any support here.

Also what do the 0.3's go out at?

And Ms1000's...

I onw 1 of each, a 0.3 and a 0.5 both white. The 0.3 is a v1 that was stored away in some guys closet for about 4 yrs. He used to own a shop in St. Louis and when he closed the doors he kept a white 0.3. I got it for doing an install for a friend that got it for me as payment.

I did the mod to it and ran it at 2 ohms bridged for about 1 year. It now drives my front stage at 4 ohms stereo. I've never had any problems w/it since I've had it. Although, I'm the only person to ever put power to it since it left te factory.

My 0.5 is a v2 w/o the mod done bought used and haven't had any issues w/it either.

Make sure you have a heafty enough charging system/power supply for it. They're power hungry beasts.

Thanks for that. Just need a little re-assurance. going to be running dynaudio sys 360. Currently running off a ss ref500. Is there any soundstream forums like this one? Or is SS a swear word on this site. lol

I'm not sure if SS has a forum page or not. This one isn't ran by PG, they shut thiers down around two yrs ago. Stipud and friends run this site.

You can talk about any brand you want around here as long as PG isn't getting bashed.

Just don't make pointless posts until we're familiar w/you and how you are. We've had our shares of A-holes. You should be alright.

For now, My 0.3 is pushing a set of Dynaudio System 240 MKII.
