new car needs speaker advice

Post by itchnertamatoa »

hehe, just bought a new car, Kia Sorento
oem speakers are 6" front and rear
wanna change those to something better, any advice?
don't know which amp will be used to power them yet, maybe the 430 C's holding right now
not sure if I wanna put a sub in as it's gonna be the wife's daily driver
HU will be a sony cdx-m9900
after that, have to decide

on another note, what do you guys think of xtant amps, 2200i and 4180c ?

XTant amps die a ugly noisy death from power supply noise. Caps change color from electronic noise and excessive heat build up inside. MTX- Mitex now owns XTant and they offer ZIP support for there legacy products. I have a 4180C without a lid that is homeless. I have been thru it but it will die again the same way as I just replaced everything as was, and did not correct any of its original engineering issues with its design.
All the original XTant amps die this way and anything with a Line driver level will blow the input section out and leave the amp silent.

MTX-Mitex wants these amps dead and in the garbage, I advise not to buy them my friend. You will end up in the hole with NO support and a guarantied gruesome death later on even if the amp is working.

In there day, and when they we still Xtant not Mitex they were very strong amps, but now without support, they represent a giant black hole for money in the long run....C :)

Kia has a stigmata still in the US, while Hyundai is finally receiving the credit they deserve on the other hand Daewoo died and died quick in the US.
I think we've established that "Ka Ka" and "Tukki Tukki" don't work.

Actually a Stigmata is an affliction, but popular usage was captured by the Catholic religion in regard to "afflicted" persons showing the signs of the crucifixion.

I was showing that the term I was using was not intended to be taken in the religious sense......but in the sense that people avoid afflictions.
