Hi guys, fixing my bandit today i didnt find out about the leaking caps until it was too late Ivew cut the cancer out, reconnected circuits and made a new cap bank.
but there's one diode next to the cap bank and transformer im not sure where the end connects to, can anyone help?
the amp actually powers up and runs fine but the diode is obviously there for a reason.
The diode is there for reverse voltage protection, so if you were to connect the main power backwards, it should short out the input and blow the fuse to protect the amplifier. It is wired across both power inputs, and after the input nulling torroid (green and red coil).
