Crack it open.
I think we've established that "Ka Ka" and "Tukki Tukki" don't work.

Its a UGLY amp

Clones are hard to figure out, as you never know whats inside till it open. I have a Kenwood "Japan" series amp here in the shop as a joke. As inside its two tiny weeny 10 watt car deck chip amps inside. On the outside it looks like a quality piece of equipment. Then you remove the 6 pound bottom plate to reveal two little bitty amp chips one on each side and no power supply (12 volt all the way)

Beware of clones !

A guy I worked w/back in '99 bought an amp OFF THE STREET. It was a Pioneer GMXXX, said it did 500 x 1 @ 4 ohms, but when he had it pushing his two 12"s he could barely hear it and he wantedto know if I'd look at it for him. I took the cover off and I was shocked.  There was hardly anything in it. I'd say 5% electronics and 95% board. Said he paid $100 for it. The detail that wen into that amp was superb.

Yeah, it sure is strange.

I guess these people just think they are being clever and smart. They see a way to make money and think that it's the same as so called "honest" work because it's making them a buck.

I just don't understand why some people get off on it though... it seems like some scammers just enjoy the whole "I'm ripping you off and you don't know it" part of the whole deal. They'd rather trick someone into forking over cash than to honestly convince someone with a good product/service and the truth about it all.
